Home Depot Veteran Discount
Home Depot has a veteran's discount policy that offers 10% off your order. In small print they only offer it to active duty, retired veterans and disabled veterans and NOT to veterans who served and were honorably discharged before retirement. Why is Home Depot advertising this as a Veteran's discount if it doesn't apply to the majority of veterans? Kind of seems like stolen valor if you ask me. I was only in four years and I saved five people's lives (I have the award) and I still get the discount any ways every time I shop there. My father in law who is also a veteran who served 3 months and got a medical discharge because he contracted pneumonia also gets the discount but tells me I'm fraudulently getting the discount because I'm not a disabled vet/retired vet/active military. Is this true? Should I stop getting the Home Depot veteran's discount? Should Home Depot stop advertising this as a veteran's discount when it really isn't? BTW : Lowe's has the same policy and I get the discount there too.
